It's interesting for about five minutes - but then you realise that it's pretty much just a cluster of souvenir shops. One of the shops had nice ice cream though.

This whole place felt like an overpriced souvenir store. The restoration didn’t feel authentic I wouldn’t recommend this to other travellers unless you’re wanting to rent kimonos and have photos in the area.

This was something we found rather average. There was nothing really interesting nor fascinating which surprised me as I thought there would be more to learn about traditional Japanese lifestyles.
