This museum shows about 100 intricately made dolls. The details of each doll are fascinating. You can see the clothes and shoes or the era it portrays. The artist tries his best to be as accurate as possible. The expressions on the dolls are life...More

I am not a doll type person but these are much more than mere dolls. They are the creative efforts of Atae Yuki. The dolls body are made from cotton but have the most lifelike facial expressions and poses. The clothing, shoes and hair are...More

Was the last place on earth that I thought I would enjoy, but I was actually blown away by the dolls. The artist captured the emotions of each subject making them seem to come alive. Absolutely recommend a quick visit.

We visited here as we had time to kill and didn't really know what to expect. It is a curation of the artist's work of small delicate dolls, mostly of children but some of film characters and mythical beasts. Very interesting to see how they...More

Really small place which was unexpected as the entrance fee for 600 yen. You will get to see really life-like dolls which is quite interesting, if you really love dolls. But you dont get to take pictures & too little dolls were on display. Put...More

Relatively small place. You will see lots of nice life-like dolls (although their eyes seemed somewhat expressionless to us). They are all fairly similar in technique and expression. Recommended if the weather is not good or you don't have anything else to do around Fuji.
