It's extortion only. The place is calm and beautiful but the boatwallahs and pandits have made it a hell. They will use all tricks- emotional, faith even forcing you to pay money for even stepping on platforms to take a bath.

This is the place where one could get the last glimpse of River Ganges and thereon merges with Saraswathi (gupta gaamini) and Yamuna. This is a sacred place for Hindus to perform parental rites. Better visit this place with drinking water in person. Beware of brokers who would dupe with exorbitant rates for a boat ride to reach Triveni Sangam... More

Just cruising along the Yamuna in a row boat with Naini on one side and the Allahabad Fort on the other is quite relaxing. It is also one of the most holy places from a Hindu point of view. On religious occasions it can get extremely crowded as many people wish to take a dip in the Sangam.

No doubt it is a fun experience, but provided it is done right. We went in the morning house around noon. It was very hot! Hence, highly recommend you... More

It is really worth to be there on a full moon day when usually the Hindu people take a bath (it is a must to do at least once in their life) and hundred thousand souls(some times millions for the big celebration) prays at the confluence of the 3 sacred rivers (Sangam). We have planned to be there for the... More
