Visited this place two days before with children's and family members. All monuments were preserved and exhibited nicely. We are amazed that, more than 1000 years old sculptures carved from single rock is awesome. Pallava kings knowledge and commitments towards Arts promotion was praiseworthy. This is not to be missed when you go to Mahabalipuram. The sculptures our of the rocks are ancient works of art! No words can describe the beauty of each of the carvings done here, each of the sculpture and architecture speaks for itself. It is best to visit during the morning since it gets pretty hot during the day...

Took a solo visit to mahabs for photography. This place is ideal for history and photography lovers. Dont miss the shore temple and the surrounding beach which is a visual treat for the eyes.

This was a beautiful sculpture on the rock. Reminds of ancient indian artwork and heritage. Ideal in the mornings.

I visited the Shore temple and the two other major sites all in one outing. opted to do it without a guide, which I might change if I visit again. This is the iconic place to show the Pallava architecture. You can see Rock cuttings every ware. Place is maintained very clean and neat. you need to have more energy to walk. Parking is bit concern.
