Labrang is the older monastery when compared the Phodong which is situtated further below. After our visit to Phodong, our driver took us to Labrang. We found the place desolated, but more tranquil than Phodong monastry. For someone who is not an expert in the...More

On our way to Lachung we stopped here and it was quite serene and beautiful. Nice place to stop and take a little break and also enjoy the rustic country side.

In North Sikkim you can see this amazing monastery. Up to tis point you don´t need a North Sikkim permit.

Good for a short visit. Peaceful and not much tourists crowding around. Its a nice place to hang out, quiet and serene

The first thing you notice here is the tranquil surroundings. It's located in Mangan, which is the headquarters of North Sikkim, India
