A place worth visiting on your trip to lachung. A bit risky and unsuitable for small children below the age of 2-3 years and for those who have breathing problems as this place is above tree line. Its too cold even in the month of may but the place is heaven surrounded by mountains and offering a different experience.

The Spectacular View of Zero Point, full with natural beauty and snow covered mountains. I have not seen such a beautiful place, though I have traveled many places including Europe. However Zero Point is more beautiful than some of the European places. There are different types of herbs and flowers can be found there. We thought of staying there for... More

Once in a lifetime experience in this jewel of the north east.. When I had been here in DEC 2009 the climate was ideal in the winter.. There was snow fall and we could play in the ice on the mountains. When we reached the zero point, it was around 11.30 with the sun brightly beating down and the snow... More

The only difficult thing is travelling in hilly roads.Once you reach the destination it will make you forget all the worries of life and enjoy the freezing atmosphere. Best time to visit is from November to April. You have to pay additional 3k for vehicle over and above the cost paid to travel agent.

This is the last point of the Yumthang Valley. The road will end here, thats why it is called as Zero point. It is about 15KM away from Yumthang valley. One can see mountains and frozen river during winter at this place. Journey from Yumthang valley to Zero point is awesome. Tip:Usually jeep drivers take us to Yumthang valley only.... More

Last point of travel and the road ends leaving one to think that they want to walk ahead and get captured in nature. We were the two souls and our driver at Zero Point and it was well below -10 degrees. WOW !! The landscape is beautiful, the frozen river is a great place to walk. The mountains full of... More

A spectacular large stony valley surrounded by more or less icy peaks at an altitude of 15,300 ft. approx. It's obviously a matter to reach a place of 6500 ft higher only in three hours. I just felt going out of sense at the temperature probably in minus with a strong wind. Water of the small river flowing beside was... More
