This is where the famous battle of Haldighati was fought between Maharan Pratap and Mughals in 1576. The museum gives an insight of the battle as well as the well known people involved in it. The short movie on the same is also shown during inside the museum. The place holds great importance, so I feel it should be well... More

Haldighati roughly 40 kms from Udaipur; gets its name from the turmeric coloured soil and the word "ghati " signifying valley. If / when one goes to Udaipur and does NOT visit Haldighati, (the site of the memorable battle, won by Maharana Rana Pratap in 1576), I feel, would be like going to Agra and not visiting the Taj Mahal.... A Must visit place to know about Rana Prathap Singh. The places was not clean and the movie show is average. Also they will play only in Hindi. You must to know Hindi to understand the history. I & my kids enjoyed this place,

This mountain range shud be more significant since is was where the rajputs fought the mughals but typically has been mismanaged and so poorly kept that we felt it could have been avoided altogether, just as a mark of dissatisfaction against why we can't better depict and better show off these periods in our heritage in a grander way so... We were travelling our way to the Maharana Pratap Museum and we got an insight to the famous pass of Haldighati where the battle of Haldighati was fought . A wonderful yellow coloured pass defines the majestic view of the area.
