We are so glad we decided to take the factory tour, during our stay in Devon. The tour is well laid out and standing on the viewing gallery, watching the glass being blown and then going through the different processes, was really interesting. We also...More

Booked 2 adult tickets online just before visiting, midweek in September. Factory experience, where you see up fairly close the men making the glasswork, has 2 hour time slots during the day. We arrived half hour before the morning shift finished so went straight through...More

We were in the area and decided to take the opportunity to visit the Darlington Glass production facility. It is possible to visit the timeline museum free but we decided to pay to make the tour of works. This gives you the chance to watch...More

10 years before those guys are let loose on the factory floor. All hand-made. The heat they work with is amazing. It’s as much as you can take from the viewing gallery in ten minutes! Inspiring craftsmanship. A must-see in this automated, cosseted age.

Visited 15 years ago when our daughters were young and had their hands moulded in glass. This time around spent a leisurely 2.5 hours perusing the museum, stopping for a snack in the cafe and then watching the glassblowing teams on the "production line".

We took the tour of the the factory, which was fascinating watching the glass being hand blown. Then we had lunch in the cafe attached, which was perfectly adequate, and then went round the retail area where there was something for everyone. A good day...More

Well worth a visit - particularly on a rainy day. We took advantage of their offer and bought our tickets online and saved ourselves £5 which I then put towards some purchases in the factory shop. A lovely friendly receptionist greeted us. We went around...More

Misinformation led us to believe that the works would be open. However we enjoyed admiring the historical section of Dartington Crystal exhibition which in itself is very informative and interesting. The coffee shop provides a fine selection of goodies.
