Overview
More
The monastery was founded in 1193. Even today there lives a community of monks of Premonstratensian order. Significant is the Romanesque-Gothic Church of the Annunciation and the library, which is the second largest monastery library in Bohemia with many rare prints. Residential wing of the monastery is the work of Christoph Dientzenhofer from the years 1690-1725. A library with a church and a residential wing are open to visitors within two guided tours. English Park is freely accessible throu whole year. In summer Watermill with interactive models - playground for children is open for free.

A lot should be done to restore it, but it's a lovely place.First of all the area is beautiful and the building itself. But it's clear that money would be more than welcome to maintain it.We bought very delicious honey at the shop.

15 km far from Mariánské lázně. Deffinately worth to visit. Enjoy the monastery and discover how the monks have lived. 2 different tours inside and additionaly 1 in park outside without guide.

They are starting to restore parts of this historic facility. It's well worth a visit now, and should be more impressive in the future.
