I definitely enjoyed my one night stay in this cute little village. It's charming and quaint and set amidst some spectacular scenery. I didn't have an opportunity to utilize any of the local businesses (other than my hotel), but it definitely seemed that there were...More

Great town right below viewing points. Confusing to walk around but all roads lead up or down so eventually all works out. There are 2 viewpoints joined by a great hour ish walk up behind the town - you can't get lost by following signs....More

Ping’an is a wonderful small village and the surrounding rice terraces are absolutely spectacular. We stayed overnight in one of the small hotels in the village, I recommend to rise early and experience a peaceful sunrise from one of the viewpoints near the village.

We stayed overnight and were able to experience a friendly welcome from the village, even in the rain. The narrow streets were fascinating to walk around and there was a great opportunity to buy teas and souvenirs to bring home.

The rice terraces are so incredible! Definitely hire a car - there will be a long wait and overcrowded busses from the entrance. We had to come in February, and even though it is between seasons it’s still worthwhile and really beautiful.

The Ping'an (Longji) Village is an hidden gem, bringing one back to the olden days when horses/ mules was the only means of transport on narrow stone paths. People and horses share the hilly paths; naturally the latter has the right of way. The local...More

A walk back in time. A steep set of stairways thru a villiage that has at least a hundred years of history.

Undoubtedly, a hidden gem. An extraordinary mix of old China with mountains, forests and rice fields. In a few years, will be packed with tourists. Hurry up!
