Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great place to stay after you visit the rice terraces. The hotspring is soothing, the view is spectacular, the air is crisp and clean. Wake up early and you will see mists surrounding the mountain. Take a 1-2 hour hike into the crab valley and eat at the local farmers house. They have chicken, goose, duck, fish, yam, wild veggies and they are all yummy. Wild honey, mushroom as well as other goods are for sale as well. His is a fun place to visit if you like hot springs.

If you're a frequent international traveller and accustomed to visiting remote areas, you will appreciate this oasis.
The area: It's tucked in the Longsheng region surrounded by beautiful lush greens and mountain areas. It feels like driving through Lake Tahoe in California or remote parts of the northern east coast. It struck me as beautiful.
The resort: Remember you're in a remote part of China. This hotel is locally run. With those as a baseline I gave it four stars:
Lobby was large and welcoming, reception staff was above and beyond friendly. Many don't speak English but they try, which is much more than I can say for non-natives I've observed who did not attempt to speak mandarin.
Buffet offered great selection of Chinese and Japanese food.
I did walk around the grounds in the early morning, weather was cool at around 6-7 am for fast walking in the little shopping area adjacent to the resort.
I found my room clean. It smelled woodsy, but nothing different than other types of cabin-like properties I've visited elsewhere. Some colleagues who stayed in other rooms noted seeing a few bugs but I didn't see any.
I met the hotel manager, he was gracious, welcoming and went above and beyond to help make my group feel comfortable.
Overall it's a great local hotel, in the middle of nowhere in the Longsheng region. I would return and visit here again.
If you want to experience local flavor, but want to be in more comfy accommodations...stay here. Just think of it as a nice woodsy place. Don't expect a St. Regis Kauai resort, but expect local, comfy and unique.

Depends on your amount of time/money to spend/ hobbies. In my opinion, the money is not worth it. Like in other Hot springs around China, the entrance fee is quite expensive, and, if you are a guy like me, who prefers to spend his time around hiking between villages instead of lying on a hot pool with quite a funny smell, then you should avoid this plan. However, if you don't have budget problems and plenty of time, it's not a bad choice.

This place is simply not worth the time or money. We took a day out of our vacation because it sounded like it would be a beautiful and unique experience. The springs are moderately nice but the staff is unfriendly and unaccommodating. There are so many people in the springs that you can't enjoy yourself. The resort attached to the hot springs takes a bad experience and makes it worse. It was out of date, uncomfortable, and expensive compared with other nicer lodgings we have experienced in China BUT it is the only game in town and they know it. They don't care. Take a bubble bath at home and save the trip.

I was in the rice terraces so it was not too long to travel. I can only say i have never experienced anything similar - including the chinese bathwear :-)
From normal bathing temperature to hot (50 degrees). I really enjoyed it. There is a hotel around. I paid 108 entry (if you refer to your hotel) and 160 for hotel.

Well worth the distance travelled to get here. It took us about an hour from the Longji Rice Terraces to get here and we didn't have much expectations but were quite surprised! There were no other western visitors at the Springs when we got there and it was quiet. Really felt like we were totally away from all the tourist oriented things in Yangshuo, Guilin and Longji Village. Some of the pools were far too hot but others were very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend a visit here to anybody who has time in the area. Cheers.

Had a ball! This is amazing - never thought such places exist. The hot spring water is captured into various pools of various temperatues ranging from the extreme 50 degC to the swimming pool at 36-40 degC. No smell of sulphur! Just pure hot water! You can see the hot springs running down the mountain - steam billowing into the air.
Hotel provides the robes and slippers. You just wander from pool to pool - it was winter and we didn't feel the cold because of the hot water. The pools are accessible till late for hotel guests.
Well worth a visit if you like hot springs and want something different.
Only downside is that I would have liked to sip on a cocktail rather than beer at the poolside bar!

we visited longsheng hot springs after the longji rice terraces. It takes by car about one hours more to the hot springs. continue on the G321 (north) to longsheng. RIght now ( AUG 2011) very chaotic because of many road constructions, but finally we found the road direction to Ziyuan ( almost NO roadsigns to this road).
The valley upriver direction to the hotsprings is absolutely unspoiled, romantic and also terraced like the longji teraaces.. very beautiful and good road. can't stop at each river bend for more pictures, just magic light. Good roadsigns also in English to the hot springs, can't miss it.
NO hawking/ no shops/ no touristst rip off on the way. For how long?
The hot springs have few hotels, looking good and worth a stay, buy no info about price etc, bec we did only a day trip.
The springs are very very nice , many different temperatures and spa options. landscape absolutely romantic.
Fee 98 yuan/person. few people, no foreigners.
After some hours of ultimate spa experience, we drove back to guilin (2.5 hours).
Evening light, river and mountains are stunning.
Definitely off the beaten trails.. close to "westernized" guilin. worth to go.

Last thursday, i went to visit longsheng county with a group of english speakers from Israel.. We had a lovely time seeing the terasses of rice plantations and walking around what seemed like a godforsaken country site.. We had a short lunch break somewhere in the middle of nowhere.. People seemed more interested in cards then in selling a cup of coffee.. When back on the bus, after a drive of at least 20 min., i realized i had forgotten mi ipad somewhere.. It took 10 min of frantic searching, till i was told that my ipad was safe and sound and would be returned to me by the end of the following day by a driver, friend of our local guide Lisa.. When i asked how i could thank those honest people,
Lisa said: have you got one of ur lovely cakes made in
Israel?? They would love it... And so it was: trading an ipad for a piece of cake...

Terrace, hotspring, castle of Zhuang or Yao, all of them left an unbelievable goodliness for me.this open-hotspring is from terrane below 1200 meter. There are strontium, lithium, iron, zinc, cuprum and so on which are healthy for people’s body in the water. The hotspring sputters from mountainside of hanging old trees and vines. Laying down in the water, vapour rised slowly and slowly, finally surmount the verdant tree upon my head.

Come si raggiungono? Ci sono mezzi pubblici / bus? Altrimenti è semplice e poco costoso raggiungerle in taxi?
Grazie.
