Great Museum
Oct. 2019
This small museum is definitely worth a visit. The exhibits are outstanding and the narratives are also displayed in English. The Etruscan artifacts date back to the 7th Century BC and nearly all are intact. A staff member named Georgio kindly escorted us and went into detail about the exhibits, and his English was perfect. Our group of 10 were pleased we did not miss visiting this great museum.

Small museum worth a visit
Oct. 2018 • Couples
This small museum in the main Piazza is worth a visit if you like to learn about a region, its people and hidden treasures. A lovely volunteer lady who spoke English was very knowledgeable. It closes at 1pm so be quick and then have a nice coffee in the nearby cafe.

This is a small museum but it has outstanding exhibits. This is coupled with excellent English descriptions/narrative. Additionally, if you are lucky Georgio, one of the staff members, will be around. He speaks excellent English and is a wealth of knowledge.

Fascinating necropolis
Apr. 2018
We visited an Etruscan Necropolis in the surrounding countryside of Rome......it is quite an interesting place of decorated tombs that were discovered by a farmer as he was working the land. It is a very expansive site with more tombs yet to be uncovered. The artifacts found in the tomb are now in a museum nearby.......the Etruscans were an advanced civilization and these sites certainly enlightened us more concerning their lives.......

Perfect intro to the Etruscan history
Jun. 2017 • Couples
This is an excellent free museum (small charge when there are exhibitions) which is not too big but has a wealth of artefacts and displays, many signs are in English to describe the history of the area and about Etruscan life. There are so many Etruscan sites in Lazio that this is a perfect place to get some background info to help you understand what you will see at other sites. Some of the artefacts are really impressive and beautiful, showing how advanced as a civilisation they were, even at that time (from 9-8th century BC).

Etruscan wonders
Oct. 2016 • Couples
Our knowledge of the Etruscans, early occupiers of Italy, was totally zilch before we entered this modest museum in the main square of Trevignano Romano. An English-speaking guide set us up for seeing a fascinating exhibition of the extraordinary metal-working and pottery skills of these impressive people. The captions in English were admirably clear and without the over-blown language of archaeology. Well done. So pleased we popped in.
