Whether Kodachadri trekking was a part of Kollur Mookambika temple visit or vice versa...I am not sure :) Byndoor is the nearest railway station to Kollur. We were a group of 7, reached Byndoor by 7 in the morning. From there we hired an Omni which charged 600 INR for dropping us at Kollur. In 45 minutes or so we... More

A must visit for all the people who like adventures. The jeep ride will usually take Rs.1600, excluding tolls (usually Rs.200-250). But, its worth. The road is very rough, with ditch in one side, and very narrow and turning roads, that it will be make you scary and exciting. The jeeps will leave you to a spot, from where you... More

Famous for its amazing view on hill top but the ride to hill top is so adventurous. Bumpy jumpy ride in jeep gave a great experience. Per head its 350 Rs, the ride is worth the money. On hill top, it is an awesome view. Totally it will take 6 to 7 hours.

We had been planning to trek kodachadri for some time, but delayed it because we wanted our son to do it with us. Now, that he is a teenager we set off. The first part of the journey was a Jeep ride from Kollur. An hours drive later we deviate from the main road onto to smaller jungle path. The... More

Lovely mountains and spectacular view from sunrise view point. However, the roads were too pathetic. Private cars are impossible to climb, only 4 wheel drive is recommended. They charge 1800 bucks/ jeep. Do not advice for family with infants. The drive is too bumpy. Should visit in the early morning hours before sunrise.

Visited Kodachadri again after 13 years (with family and kid) and this place truly mesmerizes with its scenic beauty. Choose the jeep from kollur this time and its a great adventure ride all through the rough terrain. Charges are 350+25(forest entry)/person on sharing or 2400 for private jeep. Jeeps rides are not negotiable and are controlled by a union with... More
