A must visit place. Very beautiful and amazing architecture. It right in the middle of the mountain and you will feel relaxed and refresshed.

Beautiful buildings, well preserved containing museums, a library, restaurants and school study facilities. Nice place to wander. Just over the river from the present centre.

The oldest part of Blagoevgrad, this is a place to dive into the past. Well preserved houses of the Bulgarian Revival surrounded by narrow cobbled streets. The romantic atmosphere is completed with a few traditional restaurants, art gallery and the famous church Presentation of the Blessed Virgin with its distinctive facade. There is also the Regional History Museum where you can see impressive exhibition telling the story of Blagoevgrad. Most of the buildings are private properties, so there aren't usually a lot of people wandering around the streets thus making this neigbourhood the best place to have a relaxing walk and enjoy some peaceful time.…
