Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited on Tuesday 11th September. We came across this lookout whilst on our way to Kuranda and the Atherton Tableland. Well worth stopping if you have the time and take in the great views from there.

An easy place to stop and enjoy the fantastic vista over Cairns.
It is also very convenient if you are towing a caravan (slowly) to pull over and let the traffic pass.

Coming or going to Kuranda you can stop a few minutes to enjoy the beautiful views over Cairns.
The Lookout got recently upgraded with a new Fence and a Bench.
Unfortunately the Trees are getting a bit too tall, the view is not as good anymore, but still worth it to stop.

We stopped at this lookout, on our way to Kuranda. Very nice overview of the surrounding area. While it's only a 5 to 10 minute stop, it's nice.

The scenic Henry Ross Lookout is located at the Kuranda Range road's highest point, at an altitude of 430 metres. The lookout is named after the foreman in charge of building the road in 1939's. The lookout provides panoramic views of the Coral Sea, Cairns and it's northern beaches. It is a popular stop for tourists and can be rather busy and trickly to cross over to when heading up to Kuranda.
