This is a unique cable-driven water skiing park that my son tried twice during our recent vacation. It's mostly used by locals, but is open to anyone and they treated us fine, so I'd like to review it. It's a good spot for active teens and older kids who want to do things rather than sightsee.

After 4 days of Cairns rain, we decided to have a go at this. Quick video brief, kitted up, & straight onto the knee board, & then dragged head first into the water. It's an awesome time - rain or sunny day. I should've paid for 2/3hrs, & had lunch In between. Definitely doing this when we get home.

This is a fun activity for all the family and the kids are quicker to pick up the skills than adults. The only thing which would make this attraction better is a 'pickup service' for those people who fall off midway round the circuit. It's a long walk back!

Fun day, great for learning to cable ski. Probably need shuttle bus for beginners who keep falling off. Big walk back. They also need to put some tables and chairs near launch pad as on concrete slab isn't ideal for people to sit

Got some great laps in for an hour at park. Hadn't wake boarded in years so thought I'd give it a go. Staff were super friendly in getting you started and picked it up pretty quick. So much easier and more convenient than using a boat. Price was reasonable but well worth it with the amount of wake boarding you... More

My wife and I had our first trip to the wake park last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. She tried the kneeboarding and had fun but did get tired after 6 rounds or so and was happy to relax on the side for the rest of the time. I tried wakeboarding for the first time and found that once I... More

Cable Ski Cairns is a great place for families and singles alike. Reasonably priced packages, knowledgeable instructors and well maintained equipment. Even their cafe is fairly priced! Lots of fun and will be visiting again!

if you wakeboard and go to Cairns, this place is for you! Friendly staff teaches you how to use the cable ski system, if you have wakeboarded in the past you will have a great time! for beginners you can start with a knee board and then graduate to a wakeboard when comfortable! awesome experience

Great little ski park. Oval cable with lots of ramps and rails. You can see it from the sky rail next door that goes up to Kuranda.
