Surrounded by the hills and connects to Bangladesh, Bhutan , Sikkim on its borders. You will find small resorts with homely food. Things to do: Jungle Safari, visit to tea estates, rubber plantation, and Bindu dam. People... More

Been to gorumara sanctuary. The sightings here are limited. I would suggest Jaldapara or Chilapata for better sightings

We had arranged for a guide to hire the forest departments Gypsy the day before. That way for about Rs 200 extra we didn't have to wait in the queue from 4:30am in the morning. Our car arrived at 5:30am on a rainy morning to our doorstep at the Aranya Resort. Then we started off on our 2hour jungle safari.... More

The park is dense and the guides are very helpful in sharing the information. We booked the tickets from Lataguri and everything was taken care. We got to see Bisons.

Gorumara National Park is a serene, tranquil but dense forest. If one expect that guaranteed spotting of wildlife then they might get disappointed. The same route and time being used to take you to safari by jeep. Hence the wildlife is intelligent enough to avoid breach in their privacy close to those safari areas. Also on top of that noisy... First and foremost...If you are going to the forest just so that you get to see animals...Then don't.. you might be disappointed as not necessary that you will see animals all the time...Go there with an open mind to enjoy the serenity..Peace...And beauty of the Forest... On a personal note...Try going to medla watch tower..
