Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is an island located in the bay just 15 minutes away from the pier.
The water is clear and calm. You can spend the day swimming and chilling. You only get beer and water but no food.
Be sure to pack some packaged food in your backpack.

This was another attraction that was included in the day tour booked and my girlfriend was very excited to be able to take such wonderful pics. I recommend everyone to take a day tour which includes all of these islands I have reviewed, from the moment we got picked up, we couldn't wait to get to each island to see how beautiful they were. There wasn't too many people while we visited, definitely recommend this to anyone who visits Phuket.

This beach resides in the Phanga Nga Bay. I was taken there via a kayak from the Hong island halting point as part of the Island tour that I booked from Phuket. The beach is small, but it was very calm. It was not at all crowded like the other ones.

You can swim in the waters, relax on the beach or just enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the surroundings.

View it from the boat or get around in kayak. Do not swim or attempt to get onto the beach. Sharp rocks buried under foot thick mud and blooms of jellyfish.

We went here as part of a tour with a promise of great snorkeling. Yes there are a few varieties of fish but no coral. Maybe I have been spoilt but, after paying a National Park fee to snorkel, I was expecting better.

A lot of tours go here, as part of their itinerary, and it was very busy. After giving up on the snorkeling we enjoyed a beer in the shade as this was the best option to get shade on the beach as there were fees for everything.

If you are happy to have a beer on the beach at the end of the day it is an ok stop.

Again part of your all day tour included with the James Bond Island. You get up close and personal with wild monkeys in a way you never could any where else. It gets really exciting when you have some bananas from the boat, but be careful they are great thieves and can tend to get a little aggressive. But it is truly a memorable event and one you will want to record with some pictures or video.

Not an island I would go to if it were the only destination on the itinerary. But the way in which the typical James Bond Island + Canoe trips are planned out of Phuket, this island comes at the end and the swim is a rather relaxing break. A nice beer, clean water and some good sights. Kids loved the beach, it's relatively free of the sea urchin that can sometimes be rampant in small islands and it's got a nice easy slope in the water so quite good for kids too. Recommend it !

Our visit to Lawa Island was our last stop on an all-day tour so we didn’t get there till mid-afternoon. The brochures had photos of a lovely beach to sun bake on. Please take note that if it is high tide when you arrive there will be no beach so our big boat was anchored and we swam in the deep water. The water was warm even though it was an overcast day. If you are a strong swimmer you can swim from the boat to shore. If not I would suggest wearing a lifejacket as there is a reasonably strong current. Some people needed the crew to come and collect them on the canoe as they could not swim back to the boat. Weaker swimmers can still do this activity, just wear your lifejacket, have a buddy and keep close to the boat.
