I have been to Qingzhou quite a few times, always to visit this museum. This museum houses a fine collection of buddhist sculptures of the 6th century created by local artists. Their style is completely different from those in other areas even in the same period. They are mixtures of the linearity of the Ghardara style and the voluminous features... More

This is a marvelous museum showcasing the importance of Shandong (Jinan) in different dynasties. It's on 2 floors, accessed by stairs. The Buddha statues are lovely. Qingzhou has been part of a long history of traditions in the various dynasties. You can see the history depicted there and how the place was important during each dynasties.
