Our B&B recommended this visit and we are glad we went! Our guide was very knowledgable and she tailored the tour to the hour we had before going rafting. Fascinating history.

We stopped in on the recommendation. Elizabeth is a walking encyclopedia for the home. We were planning only a short visit but stayed 90 minutes. We learned so much of the local history, well worth the time.

This museum is directly across from the River Runners Rafting. It is an old Captains home and gives a presentation of the ship building days in this small town. It's worthwhile to drop in if you are driving by.

Knowledgeable guides escort you into the past within the home of William Lawrence and his contributions to the area around Maitland. The little inventions or modifications that Lawrence made for his family are really intriguing. Definite place to visit when you are in Maitland.
