We had a great ride on the tidal bore early in the season and had the river almost to ourselves. Angus was a great captain who kept us safe, but took us through some huge waves! He also explained what we were seeing as we...More

Start with an optional mudslide and a zodiac ride along the river and past rocky shoals. Then the tide comes in and the seascape changes quickly! Blast through the waves and run against the tide. This is very fun but you get wet and it...More

Thoroughly enjoyed the run through the rapids and eddies created by the tide filling the bay. Robin our boat driver/guide was delightful and very informative. Be warned, though, that you WILL get soaked with red soil infused water that tastes terrible and stains clothes. Wear...More

I did this with my two boys, ages 9 and 11. We were there on one of the medium-tide days. I was a little nervous about my 9 year old but he did fine. I didn't take my 6 year old and I am glad....More

It was very early in the year. May. We had a great time. We did get a little cold after a while but all in all it was a fun trip.

Angus took us out for three hours of pure fun. The YouTube videos look fairly intense, but when you're out there, you feel very very safe with the guides. The River Runners staff know their river, and you'll feel secure in their hands.

So my friend and I went tidal bore rafting yesterday in Maitland, Nova Scotia. This is right in the very end of the Bay of Fundy, known for having the highest tides in the world. I'm pretty sure it's a function of the shape of...More

When in this month of September is the highest tidal bore and what do you charge per person? Over 65 senior rates?

If you go to their website it will give you a full breakdown of the tides; as for seniors rates, I would give their 1-800 # a call. if no seniors rates, you'll still get a great exchange on your US$ :-)

My wife and I have been to Nova Scotia twice and were taken in by the tidal bore . However, both tidal bores we have seen were quite small - 4 to 6 inches. We are planning to visit again in Aug/Sep 2016. When with the highest tidal bores be during that time and any estimate of how high? Bill
