This is possibly more of a site woth visiting than the Tharros ruins. Altho remodeled to a non-Byzantine format in middle ages, still spectacular

Lovely, simple ancient church from the 6th century. Most unusual to find such a beautifully preserved and ancient building. Lovely atmosphere.

We saw the church when we visited the Archeological site, so we went back for a quick look. It is simple inside and out, but worth a visit.

An early Christian church from the 6th century AD, expanded in Byzantine times (XI century AD) according to the same architectural style (see photos).

A peaceful house of worship, devout and simple unlike many of the worlds glittering religious palaces!

While in Sinis this is a great stop; pause, relax and feel the world disappear for a while. Sounds a bit new agey, but it really is a modest and yet beautiful old church.

I believe this lovely little church dates back to the 6th century. It is well worth a visit if you are visiting Tharros.

One of the oldest churches still in use

Near the ruins of Talos, in a small village stands this age old church. Very lovely in the afternoon sun. Inside just the bare walls, very impressive. Nearby square houses an information center on the peninsula and its beaches.

Please notice that there is a road behind the church which brings you closer to the ruins. No need to park here - at least not during low season.
