South-gate for what used to be part of the ancient city's walls, this remnant offers a great contrast to the modern shophouses around it and offers a great photo at dusk

In the near vicinity of the Jeonju Hanok Village is the stunning old city gate, Pungnammun Gate, it is the only surviving gate of four from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897), which was built in 1768. The gate was in fine condition having been restored in...More

Well, this place is small and it's basically near everything hahaha It's near the hanok village, near Nambu market, the church, bus stops etc! There are also performances in the plaza nearby sometimes. You can just snap a photo or two and leave. haha

The gate looks very impressive. In the evening it's a good place for photo taking. Unfortunately, it was closed when I visited.

This seems to be the last remains of a gate as it's now situated on a traffic roundabout with cars driving all around it. Still quite interesting to stop and take a look at if you're in the vicinity, but there's nothing particularly special about...More

Close to Nambu Market, Jeonju Cathedral and the Gyeonggijeon. Visited once in the day and passed by once at night. Worth a visit. Probably take 5-10mins taking photos and you're done.

It's free to see it so if you are in the area worth a quick visit but I wouldn't recommend making this your main attraction. The Hanook Village is close by as is a number of markets.

standing in the middle of the urban spraw, you'll find this old gate. Found a really awesome pancake shop just opposite to admire the gate and chow down on sweet pancakes.
