Lovely old building that functions as a huge Advents Calendar on the weeks leading up to Christmas. If you're fortunate enough to visit Gengenbach close to Christmas time (or immediately afterwards) all the more reason to have a peek around this lovely and well-preserved picturesque...More

Quaint village with romantic walk ways leads to this hall which annually has a daily ceremony of revealing a new painted window each day of December until Christmas. Very colorful and very unique. Just the town itself is worth a visit. Rebuilt in old style...More

This is by far the most beautiful building on the main street of Gengenbach. The museum opposite the town hall frames the central square perfectly. There are benches here to admire the fountain and the town hall building.

Beautiful German place closed to Freiburg. I suggest to stay, at least, one night in the city and enjoy.

We walked by this town hall many times during our time visiting Gengenbach and admired it's picturesque exterior -- we didn't however see the interior.

Wonderful town to stroll through, have lunch, shop and enjoy the lovely architecture. There is also a market in front of the town hall 2 days a week. A nice town to stop in when in the area.

We spent a few hors here strolling round the Christmas market. The market was very good and the toen hall was decorated as an Advent calendar with each window depicting a difernt image. An enjoyable time as part of a Shearings tour
