Overview
More
Nevalea Alpacas, the largest alpaca farm in New Zealand, is home to over 700 friendly alpacas. We offer visitors ‘The Ultimate Alpaca Experience’ and have a range of different activities to choose from to give visitors an opportunity to get up close to the alpacas, hand feed them and feel just how soft and cuddly the alpacas are. We operate alpaca treks through the summer months, where visitors can walk an alpaca around the farm and see hundreds of alpaca come to greet them in the hills, spectacular views surrounded by alpacas. We also offer a shorter alpaca walk throughout the year as another option. We have new-born baby alpacas all year-round, and for a unique opportunity offer visitors the chance to have a cuddle with a baby alpaca. Great up close and personal experiences and chances for some amazing photos. See our website for all activity options and bookings.

Don't be fooled by the website photo which features numerous alpacas. When you approach the drive in you'll realize there are only like 20 alpacas you can feed and disappointment hits like a ton of bricks! You are restricted to a small cup of food...More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I am sorry you felt you did not see enough alpacas. While we have over 700 alpacas on farm they are not kept in one paddock to view, they need to be spread into...More

This is my second time there, definitely take the Alpaca tour where you walk your very own alpaca around the farm! I love alpacas, so I made sure to make a stop over at Nevalea Alpacas. The hosts were friendly, alpacas were lovely, and I...More

We loved our second visit at the Alpaca farm. These creatures are amazing and friendly. I'd recommend the Alpaca walk and the feeding to anyone. The views are incredible too.
