To me, the best part was standing in front of a Gutenberg Bible (one on paper) and knowing what this book meant to European history - how many wars, how much change in society grew out of this book. The are books older and newer...More

Besides showing really fascinating first edition and unique books, this museum is designed and organized in an excellent way. The books look like birds flying in a dark sky. The people working at the reception are really friendly and ready to help.

A magnificent exhibition about the creation of Frankenstein by Shelleys wife. The various explanations given by the guides are all very interesting.

Located in Cologny, neighboring Geneva, with parking limited to 15 spaces, the Foundation is accessible by Bus A and Bus 33 from Geneva, and provides a welcome antidote to today's e-books and Kindles because it traces the history of books with real examples. The earliest...More
