Cangkuang Temple has a nice location. For visitor, you need to take a getek (small boat) to reach the destinations. You need to pay Rp 4K/person or you can pay Rp100K for one boat. It will take you only 5min to reach the temple. You must enjoy the view around the temple. Its surrounded by lake, clear sky, cool places... More

Not much Hindu temple in West Java to see. Candi Cangkuang is a small Hindu temple on a tiny island. To reach there, taking bamboo raft with capacity around 20 people max. It is not so special compared to Hindu temples in Central Java and Bali. Stop by if you are within this area (fe.on way to Bandung or Jakarta).... More

The place is not that special, but worth a visit if you're in Garut. The entrance is Rp 5.000, but you have to pay another Rp 4.000 to use the raft if you want to see the temple.

Our guide told us of this Hindu temple complex in Garut so we thought that we'd go and see it. It turned out to be a 4 minute raft across a small lake followed by a 3 minute walk up a hill to the extremely small temple that was closed. There was a grave by the temple that belongs to... More

Well, the title I guess is self-explanatory. My wife and our three little girls enjoyed the raft crossing the lake to reach the temple much more than exploring the temple since perhaps it is only one and very small. The traditional houses inside the compound are attractive. Make sure you got yourself and families photographed in front of this old... More

The attraction is so so only. We enjoyed the ride on the raft to cross over to see the Candi. The raft is very unique. There is only one small temple.
