Climbing mount agung was one of the most amazing, challenging, and spiritual adventures I have ever experienced. It was challenging for me, physically and mentally. I am not comfortable with heights I must add and If it wasn't for Wayans spirit, I would not have made it to the summit. Besides his funny character, he is a true mountain man and made a dream come true for me. Thanks Wayan!!

Hiking Agung was my long-term dream and finally it came true. Wayan is an AMAZING guide, who does his job the best possible way. Hiking is pretty hard, especially at the top, but Wayan was very cheerful and helpful. He made delicious coffee at the top and we were lucky to see gorgeous sunrise at the top. I highly recommend this tour, life-changing experience. Thank you Wayan soooo much for unforgettable tour!!!

Wayan was a fantastic guide and helped us get up (and down) the mountain safely and in good time! We really enjoyed the experience. You can't go wrong with Wayan he mentioned he's been up the mountain over 500 times so probably one of the most experienced guides you can get!

One of the best guides I’ve ever had! Wayan is a great guy, super calm and supportive. His knowledge and skills are evident. We hiked to the summit Sejati (true summit) which requires a fairly high level of fitness and dedication. It’s a long day especially considering you haven’t slept the night before. Pack wisely, you pass through wet jungle and end up on a cold wind swept peak. But Wayan is always there smiling and eager to make you a hot cup of tea/coffee and share snacks.

Pak Wayan was our guide to Gunung Agung. He is the kindest and best guide you can have! He was always very attentive and checking if you are ok. We took the Pasar Agung route to hike up Agung true summit! You start at the highest temple in Bali and hike through the forest. After the forest was a good stretch of rocks. As we got to a check point where the route split in two he asked us if we still wanted to reach the high summit or if we would like to take the “easier” shorter route to low summit. At this point he will also check if you are still fit enough to continue for the high summit as this route is very demanding physically and mentally. I personally enjoyed this route very much as it was more technical and we did some fun traversing. Pak Wayan said this route is considered to be grade 3 hiking difficulty. At certain points we really had to climb with our hands and feet. I don’t recommend this route if you are not fit and scared of heights. We manage to reach the summit in 5.5h and had 1h before sunrise pak Wayan prepared us a simple breakfast and tea or coffee. After watching the beautiful sunrise we made our way down and this was the most challenging part of the trip physically. It took us 7h to get back to the temple. Make sure to bring enough trail mix chocolate water and electrolytes. Thank you pak Wayan this was definitely a highlight in 2020. Mount Agung is not a walk in park but it’s definitely worth to try!
