Only when the sea is ready for it you see high splashes so get your camera ready.
Not much trouble with venders of all kind.
Walk best on rubber or not slippery footwear

Honestly, without a doubt, this is unmissable. I’m a bit of a sea freak. I love the waves, the noise, the smell and the swell.
Take care and walk in good footwear if possible around the rock pools and if you go close to any edge don’t turn your back on the swell.
The waves come in sets about 5-10 minutes apart and even at relatively low tide it can be exiting to watch and feel the waves crashing in - on a windy day at high tide around full moon you’d be absolutely nuts to miss it.
Only down side - go early or late or be inundated with tourists who are noisy, a little rude and quite loud. They get in front of you when you’re taking photos and have little respect and patience for your relative space.
All the vendors (too many of them) show their prices in oriental characters only so don’t get ripped off and take your own drinks.
The sheer volume of these people versus the amount litter left behind tells you all you need to know.
The action sea-side and the ‘Devils Tear’s’ do make up for it, though.

Some interesting geology and weathering has left us with the Devils Tears. These strange flat pools in jagged limestone, filled with seawater, can offer a stark calm in contrast to the wavy swell of the ocean. Worthy of a look if you are in western Lembongan.
Take care though, sharp, uneven rocks ... leave the thongs (yes, those things I don't call flip flops) at your hotel ... wear shoes or good sandals ... and watch the youngsters, falling in the ocean is easy but getting back out will take more than a deal with the Devil. Maybe it's not his/her tears after all???

Nice vantage point to see the waves crashing against the cliffs. Big construction going on around the cliff which takes away from the natural beauty

There isn't a lot of traditional "sightseeing" to do on Nusa Lembongan, but this was pretty beautiful. There's a roped-off area to walk near the cliffs and watch the waves pound the rock.

For my opinion this place is nice to visit during the afternoon time. When the heat of the sun may not be too hurt the skin. Since there are no trees around the area. And will be worth to see when the wave is big, so you can see the waves crash along the cliff.

This beautiful natural wonder is a must visit on Nusa Lembongan. The crashing of each wave against the rocky cliffs of this inlet makes for a wonderful acoustic backdrop. Afternoon is the best time to visit. The midday sun brings out the vibrant blues of the clear water.

Devil’s Tears was one of the highlights of the trip. A must must must visit! Waves come in force and crash along the shore and what we see is epic. A rainbow formed in the midst of water. WOW! What a sight! One can just sit there for hours and watch the amazing sight. You would also feel water droplets splattering on your face which is very relaxing. Me and my family were simply awestruck with the sight. Though, one must be careful going too close to the waves. There is also a beautiful sunset point here.
I am so glad that I booked this trip. My Nusa Lembongan trip was booked with Sunrise Fast Cruise Bali. Highly recommend them!

I would go around sunset time (between 5 and 6 pm) because the view will be amazing. But it will get a bit crowded so try to go there as early as possible.

How long does it take to go from Kuta to this island? Is it possible to return to Kuta on the same day? Do I need to book/buy any package before arriving or is it always available? From where can I buy the package? Also, how much does it cost usually if I don't buy the package?

Hello, we went from kuta by taxi to ferry port, taxi drop us off at ticket office of many boat companies, you can choose. We chose scoot but i regret later, because the boat was poor and the price was very high. It takes about 40-60min to get to the island, so you can easily come back the same day. Boat company also take you by their car wherever you want go (for free), after boat arrives to island, very convenient. Ps. Every bar/restaurant/spa also come to take you and then drop you off after (for free) if you call them and ask, so no problem, no need taxi there. So you need money only for boat around 500 round trip. No package needed i guess if you like to plan yourself

It's free to get up there but It's not on mainland Bali. It's a small island off Bali at Nusa Lembongan. Have to take a speed boat out for about 30 mins from Sanur.
