Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really good out of the way beach, long stretch of sand and quiet! When we arrived the was no one there, it’s only 3km off the freeway which was surprising, there’s a bitumen road all the way too which is another big plus, large car park with toilet facilities and nothing else which suits me as it probably helps reduce the crowds, if there were more facilities you tend to get a lot more activity.

There’s a well built wooden walkway and viewing platform with benched seating and then wooden steps going down to the beach, you can also drive on to the beach by a separate access point, in fact we saw someone do just that as we were sitting there taking in the view. I’d definitely be using this beach if I was living in the vicinity, I hate crowded beaches and this was perfect.

Buffalo beach is probably the best beach on the Leschenault Peninsula, bitumen access to the carpark and well constructed steps with handrails down to the beach area. Pristine but a cold wind blowing on the day. Seating and toilets available.

Loved my visit here. It's out of the way, located in the Conservation Area, which you access via Buffalo Rd straight from the Forrest Hwy, and is west of Australind on the other side of the Leschenault Estuary. The road coming in is all paved, unlike the other beach (Belvidere) in this area. There's some toilets and a large parking area, plus some seating overlooking the ocean. You can also drive straight onto the beach here if you have a 4WD. I saw a couple of 4WDs on the beach, and also some people fishing. I'm sure in summer it would be a great place for swimming too. I walked along the beach, south towards Belvidere Beach, and it is lovely for enjoying the clean sandy beach and ocean. It's a bit of a drive to get here, but I enjoyed my day out in the peninsula, and Buffalo Beach was definitely the highlight for me.
