Well worth a visit for the stunning views from the ramparts. There were events for young children over the half-term (similar to horrible histories). Can't comment on the food but there are some nice places to eat in the town.

If you’re into castles, history and the outdoors then this is worth a visit if you’re in the area, but it won’t fill half a day! Quite pricey entry but pretty standard for English heritage properties. I’d stay clear of the cafe and try out...More

Quite interesting castle...nothing much inside but good ramparts with fantastic views. However the cafe was truly AWFUL. I was really looking forward to the Tudor pottage, allegedly a "Tudor" inspired dish. In reality it was cubed frozen root veg floating in water with a slice...More

Wow - what a historic place! Fun to learn the history and imagine the past. Well maintained, lovely grounds. Great photo ops - if that’s what you’re in to.

We visited on a lovely sunny day. There was lots going on and the rest of my family really enjoyed the wall walk. I was a wimp and stayed on the ground. The children particularly enjoyed the sandcastle building lessons that were going on. The...More

I’ve been to Framingham a few times now and this time we decided to visit the ‘castle on the hill’. It’s absolutely awesome! I love the castle itself, the surroundings and I have learned some more history too! Totally recommended if you’re in the area!
