Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a brilliant experience. We saw a very funny Buster Keaton movie, "Young Sherlock", with live accompaniment on the 1937 Compton organ by talented organist Ron West. It's just like going back in time to the era of silent movies. You find yourself living in the past before returning to the twenty-first century with a new appreciation of the history of film, and this theatre, which has been in operation for over 100 years.

Watching a silent movie with organ playing. This is an experience everyone must do ; you get so much out of being in the theatre, viewing the artifacts on display, listening to the music prior to the film, speaking to the staff who are marvelous. The organ playing is so magical, and when played during the film it's an art that not many people have, so please take advantage every Saturday from 11.00

The Majestic Theatre is an amazing surprise tucked away on the Sunshine Coast 20 minutes from Noosa. The brilliant organist accompanies the silent movie viewing. He is the owner and a brilliant historian & organist.

So worth your time attending Saturday noon silent film with live accompaniment. What an utter legend Ron West is. Theatre is a gem, fab history, get a cuppa or vino & settle in, you will be glad you did!! Do the market first, won't regret it :)

A great place to go back in time to watch a silent movie and feel as though you are back in the 1920's. The theatre also has great events, worth keeping an eye on their site for special concerts, plays and acts and a wonderful venue for hire for special events.

Recently had the fun of stepping back in time by visiting the Majestic Cinema at Pomona with a Car Club group.
They put on a silent film about cars for our enthusiasts. The film was accompanied by a pianist who kept up with the theme of the film for over an hour. The whole experience was awesome.
The cinema is run by a group of volunteers who dress up for the occasion, and I believe they will put on a show for groups of over 20.
Well worth the experience.

If you haven't stopped off to see this amazing old iconic building you don't know what you're missing. She has been fully restored and with an original old piped organ almost ready to be back in full service. Silent Movies play weekly, events are regularly held here from Chamber music to The Rocky horror show, talent contests, amazing ozzy musicians like Archie Roach. A wonderful new committee and group of volunteers make this a welcome, friendly and fun place to visit. Check out the website @ The Majestic Theatre, Pomona for events and screenings. A MUST see !!!!

I really enjoy going to the Silent Movies held at the Majestic Theatre held on most Market Days - 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. The Majestic is the longest running authentic silent movie theatre in the world. WOW!! in little old Pomona. A step back in time in this glorious old iconic theatre.

My husband and I live in Pomona and have enjoyed stepping back in time with a silent movie on more than one occasion. It is a wonderfully refurbished theatre of yesteryear with silent movies and we love experiencing what our older relatives entertained themselves with when they were young. It also incorporates a lovely little restaurant, though we haven't. eaten there yet, but is on our to do list. Have also attended other shows before, like Kate Miller-Heidke and Katie Noonan, which Is a great asset to our little town. Recommend to all ages.

It was a brilliant afternoon. Just like stepping back in time. The film was great fun to watch. The gentleman who plays the organ, is fantastic. Highly recommend.
