Close enough to the capital city and has its own fresh atmosphere with a lot of things to discover in the Hungarian countryside, as well. Highly recommended.

If you wish to be on the side of the lake, that is the closest place to visit from Budapest. You can go around with a bike too, but nice to walk on the "beach " side as well. Lot of sport activities and nice...More

Plenty to do and see as long as your outdoors type. Didn't know that Hungary had these lakes and this type of destination. Well worth a visit.

One of the most popular places people go to in the summer! expect a busy busy beach! Rentals as well. Grocery store, shopping area and food court as well. Very clean but super busy!

The lake is lovely with great swimming. We avoid the main beaches as they can be a bit to frantic. We like toj ump off the jetty and splash in the lovely water for hours in the hot August heat. Otherwise spend the day cycling...More
