Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful, colorful, peaceful temple at the top of a cluster of temples.
There are spectacular views of the mountains, some of which were snow-capped when we were there, as well as many temples all around.
There are 108 steps, same number as in Buddhist rosary, leading down from this temple. Due to my vertigo, it was a challenge for me to make it down but a helpful Chinese couple walked in front of me from top to bottom.
For photographers it's a great place to take stunning photos.
There were crowds there but I didn't feel it detracted from the experience.

Pusading Si is a major temple at the northern end of the temple complex in the village of Taihuai in the center of the UNESCO World Heritage site Wutai Shan. We came here as most of the tourists do as part of a guided tour with a bus of the Shanxi Tourism Organization. The temple was built as one of the first during the early development of the Taihuai temple complex but its present buildings and layout date to the 17th/18th century when Pusading Si was especially favoured by then emperors Kangxi and Qianlong who stayed there when making pilgrimages to Wutai Shan. At that time the ancient temple was rebuilt in Imperial Qing style most obvious through the use of roof tiles with yellow overglaze, the exlusive imperial color. Pusading Si stands out not only because of the yellow roofs but even more because of an overall very colorful and rich decoration up into little details, which creates a friendly, optimistic, encouraging and overall active/positive atmosphere. At the time of our visit we had perfect sunlight which even enhanced the warm and cheerful colors. Two big pine trees In front of the main hall provide a little shadow and 3 steles with dragon decoration there are placed by the Emperor himself. Today they make a favorite setting for taking photos. Several boards provide sketches and key information in English and other languages, so visitors can also help themselves. As the temple is built on a slope of Mount Wutai the view, especially from the entrance gate, at the beautiful mountainous landscape and further temples nestled in small valleys or exposed on high terraces is very nice. Regardless a grinding crowd of visitors we enjoyed the nice atmosphere of this well decorated temple very much. Plenty of positive energy there; don’t miss!

Lovely temple complex on top of steep hill. I took a shuttle bus up and walked down, 1000 odd steps. The temple is fantastic and you can take part in incence burning if you wish. Its a living monetary so dress respectfully and don't take pictures of monks or relics.

Actually just about every temple here at Wutai Shan is a Bodhisattva Temple mainly with the Wen Shu Buddha (Manjusri). The pictures posted here are also from different temples. The temples at Wutai here included: Nanshan Temple, Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple and Pusading, Shouing Temple, Bishan Temple, Puhua Temple, Dailuo Ding, Qixian Temple, Shifang Tang, Shuxian Temple, Guangzong Temple, Youguo Temple, Guanyin Dong, Longhua Temple, Luomuhou Temple, Jinge Temple, Zhanshan Temple, Wanfo Ge, Guanhai Temple, Zhuling Temple, Jifu Temple, Gufo Temple, etc.
Well in any case the main purpose of visiting Wutai Shan is to visit these temples so I will give it a 5.
