Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a shopping center-like place with a row of Arita ware specialty shops. I visited during the Arita Pottery Fair. My main purpose was Marubun. There were many products from selected potteries such as Fukuizumigama.

Walking around Arita we were wondering what the pink minibus was all about. It is a free shuttle service from the station through town to the outlet. At some bus stops of the public bus are laminated sheets, those are the timetables of the shuttle bus. Taxi from the station was the minimum Y640.

The outlet itself is marvellous. Bought several items, but it's as well enjoyable just looking around. There is a curry restaurant on site.

Reached the park by taxi for 800 yen from JR station. There were two rolls of ceramic specialist shops and a curry dining outlet in the far end.
Dropped into each single shop but nothing stunning was spotted.
In fact, Arita’s best items could be seen in big city’s department stores.

Arita would celebrate 400 years of ceramic making in 2016

When you want to shop for ceramics, this is the place. Large selection from the latest design, shop 2016/, to the more traditonal products. You can spend at least a couple of hours browsing here, and see a lot more compared to going from store to store in the town.

It is a compact place to shop & chill. You may find awesomely cheap tea pot set, ramen bowl, and so on to bring home or personal sake glass, porcelain artwork, and magnificent decorative dishes made by top ceramic manufacturer.
Wide variety of selection lures customers to linger way longer than they expected.

Visited the ceramic fair in Arita, held annually from 29thApril to 05th May. The road is closed for traffic and ceramic ware is exhibited on both sides of the road to stretch of about 5 kms.It is ceramic, ceramic, ceramic every where. prices ranging from 100yen to 100,000 yen or more. beautiful ceramic every where and difficult to decide. They say you have to bargain. But we didnt have to bargain and they offered us discounts that we couldnt believe especially in the evening

Best place to see different types of ceramics made by different companies. Affordable also.
An exhibition of different, but amazing porcelains. Some with the little spots or smudge will be sold much cheaper than the undamaged. The best place to buy gifts for family.
The only thing I suggest is bring some food when you go there, since you will stay for a long time and the restaurants didn't work the couple of times I went there.

I was at a loss when I found out that the museum was closed due to lack of research, and the staff of a local sake shop told me that it was nearby.
There are a number of shops, and each shop has a different exhibit, so I think it is quite worth seeing.

This center was built to mark the 400th anniversary of Japanese porcelain - probably also because the decline of the famous "okiaritases" (the great street where a hundred porcelain shops used to offer their goods - unfortunately not anymore, I guess 70% of the former shops are closed) is apparent. The Será is a very nice selection, I estimate that there are about 20 shops, the way there is definitely worth it.
