車で一周できます

福岡から八木山バイパスへ向かう国道から、交差点を曲がってすぐ目の前にダムが見えます。
周囲に車道が整備されているので車で一周できる。
途中には寺院などが有り、紅葉時期などは美しい光景を見ることが出来る。

気軽にピクニック、ウォーキング、サイクリング

ダムと聞けば、山奥なイメージがありますが、ここは国道から入ってすぐにあり、気軽に自然を楽しめます。ダムを一周できる道があるので、サイクリングやロードレースの練習をしている方も。お天気が良い日にはピクニックも楽しめる空間です。

ダムの上にまるで取って付けたようにムーミン谷にありそうな三角屋根の小屋が建っています。土曜の午前中に訪れたのですが人が殆どいませんでした。ところどころに桜の木があるので小規模な花見の場所とするのも良いかもしれません。

高所恐怖症の方には厳しい

久しぶりにダムと言うものを見ました😅
2月の平日ということもおり、人がいなくがラーンとしてました。
駐車場もトイレもあり紅葉の季節とかに来ると良さそう。

国道から数分でアクセス可能な場所にあります。福岡県の耶馬渓を堪能できるスポットで、車などでぐるっと一周するドライブができます。駐車場は無料です。また更に山を登ると西国33か所巡りの寺院や滝があります。
