This sculpture/pavillion is located near the Miyanoura ferry pier. You can easily walk there when you get to Naoshima or before you leave. You can go inside the mesh structure. Don't miss the big red pumpkin nearby.

Just around the corner from the main pier. Very fun to wander within (too hard to sit for too long). Magical when lit at night.

This piece of Art is fairly close to the Ferry Pier. It's fun to pay a visit & take pictures inside and outside.

Nice stop if you are around Miyanoura Port. It is an interesting sculpture because of its interior space airy yet 3D, which does not appear so when looking from far distance.

The Naoshima ferry pavilion is designed by SANAA and has art installations around by great artists like Yayoi Kusuma, so if you're there, do spare some time to explore these installations.

Located near Miyanoura port, or Akakabocha. Be able to get inside this sculpture I suggest you to visit here at night, as light illuminates below.

I like art that allows you not only to see it ... but moving closer and 'use' it. The pavilion is great fun for the kids to move around in with it's tilted angles and transparent feel ... and provides great wide angle photo opportunities...More
