One of the oldest shrines on the Oki Islands and certainly one of the least crowded shrines you'll ever find in Japan!

If you like shrines, then visit Oki Shrine. It is a large buidling, with many nice garden areas. This was built to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Emperor Gotoba's death. I visited here in the summer with some friends. It is a big shrine, with a tomb nearby (where a famous Emperor of Japan - Emperor Gotoba - is buried).
