Jizo is known as the guardian deity of children in the Japanese culture.
今年も年1回の方位除けのご祈祷が終わり、
こちら西善院さんへ伺いました。
前厄の今年は来年に備え、
寺社仏閣へ出掛けることが多くなりそうです。

寒川神社、三の鳥居や太鼓橋のすぐ前にあるお寺です。相模国準四国八十八カ所62番、73番札所の弘法大師石像や、握手すれば縁が結べる握手大師像などが安置されています。

寒川神社の太鼓橋のすぐ近くにある真言宗の寺院。創建年不明。 本尊は木造阿弥陀如来坐像。
神仏分離までは寒川神社の供僧であった。
境内には、握手をすると弘法大師と縁が結べるという握手大師の石像がある。弘法大師は厄除にご利益のある仏様なので、この石像と握手すれば厄除に効果があるかも。

寒川神社、太鼓橋を背にして左前方に位置します。境内には、ご本堂に向かって左に弘法大師の立像、右に弘法大師が右手をこちらにのばした像がありました。握手大師というそうです。横の案内板よると、ご本尊は木造阿弥陀如来坐像です。

鳥居を抜けて神池橋(太鼓橋)を渡ると左手にあります。
握手大師と握手して縁が結べたと思っています。
