Kasamori Kannon was founded in B.E.1327 and the main hall of the temple was built in B.E.1571. The temple is located on the mountain surrounded by the forest. To reach the temple, you must climb up on many stair steps. By the way, it is not too hard to reach the temple. On the way up, there is holy tree with the hole on the trunk. You can climb through the hole for good luck. A short walk from the tree, there was the entrance of the temple. The hall height is 16 meters and the roof is 31 meters above the ground. The structure of the temple is called Shiho Kakezukuri style. To enter the main hall, you must pay 200 yen admission fee (as of May 2019). Hiking and trekking in the forest behind the temple can be done if you have time to enjoy the greenery forest for fresh air.

The temple is surrounded by pay parking so there wont be any problem to those traveling by car. Like Us

The entrance to the temple is long concrete narrow staircase that will take you all the way to the top
(Girls be warned; Better wear something comfy instead of heels)

On the way before the main gate of the temple, there is a tree with a passable hole on its trunk called "kosasuke kusunoki" or Camphor tree of blessed with child.

"She who passes through the trunk will be blessed with a healthy child or with a good fortune"

Upon entering the temple one must remove their shoes.
The main hall is accessible through another long elevated stairway of around 30-40 steps

No cameras (picture taking sesh!) allowed on top of the temple (inside)

Vendors can be found before entering the main hall some sell foods others japanese souvenirs and stuff

Sky-high temple atop of big rock in a forest of Tokyo Metropolitan Area. Scaffolding and steep stairway enhance the impact of elevation. Show off in the morning. Intriguing coincidence of parallel location at latitude 35°23′N with a national treasure temple
" Nageire-doh, Mitokusan "( Tottori Prefecture ) renowned for its cliff hanging scaffold.
Restaurant by the car park is closed on weekdays, but a cafe at temple's foot offers
simple noodle bowls. Shohei N.

One of the few upraised temple in Japan as kyomizu in Kyoto. This is situated in very peaceful forest in Chonan town in countryside of Chiba. Founded in 784 during Nara period; main hall built in 1028 at emperor request.

Those who have issue walking up staircase should probably avoid as it is very steep. Nevertheless it worth very much the effort.

You can here birds humming to nature's silence. As you walk up, you see this beautiful temple. You may pray as you climb up top, mind you that you have to remove your footwear and wear those that are provided below. It may seem creepy if you travel alone or with few people.

I recommend, you travel as a group to experience the place without an ease.
