'Onna no Eki', as it's usually known around here, is a very good place whether you're a local or, I would guess, just passing by as a tourist. I like three rather different aspects. First, there's a sort of farmers' market section where local fruits and vegetables are on sale in an every-changing seasonal succession. Always an interesting selection, always... More

This is a little open market with a variety of local goods: little flowery clothes for babies, some summer clothes for ladies and the typical Okinawan shirts for men. Some curious rings, pendants and bracelets, and of course, some hand-made shisas with all sorts of decorations. This is a place where you can buy an ice-cream -mainly vanilla- or a... More

We didn't choose it as our stop at first. But since family trip is always flexible,so we randomly choose it. We were so surprised to find that it's a local farmers' market. That means you can buy fresh and healthy agriculture products. We had local lunch and tasty ice cream there. All the elders and kids love that!

This feels like a huge highway stop than a destination spot. We bought some oranges and custard apples which turned out to be of average quality. What was good was the stall selling the Japanese donuts. Even though we were extremely full, all of us have quite a few bites. I will not come back here if I were in... More

We made a special trip, pretty much wasted in my view. Would be OK if it is lunchtime and you want to eat. Otherwise it is a supermarket and some food stalls and space to sit and eat. The is no access to the beach or view (across the freeway). I wouldn't make a special trip - if it is... More

Onna Station is about 5 minutes from our home and is one of the main places to find good veggies, several restaurants; seafood, local Okinawa Soba, a French Bakery on the second floor, and many items for tourists. A wife variety of goods here and this sits next to the Onna Museum. Beautiful view of the East China Sea and... More

On our way to the north of Okinawa we stopped at this place which turned out to be a brilliant find. There was a small japanese supermarket with local gifts and various types of food stalls along the side. Worth the stop.

This is a rest area for buses. There are few good restaurants and bakery on the 2nd floor. There are also cheap live plants and local produce for sale
