Nice Beach to Stroll

This is a nice stretch of beach to stroll along. As it's Jan, the beach is not crowded at all and one can take own time to enjoy it.

We stayed at the Hotel Orion Motobu and it's just a short walk from it. Unfortunately the beach was closed for swimming or other activities in December even though the temperature is still pretty warm then (around the low twenties). Had a nice walk during the sunset hours.

Great beach and beautiful environment and park. It is just a pity you are not allowed to swim during this season

This beach a little too neat thus gives man-made feel. Prefer those with the rustic feel with natural rocks by the sea or beach area.

Almost all famous beaches in Okinawa are very boring. The water is clean and beautiful, and that's all... They don't allow you to do anything. I brought my stand up paddle board, and they didn't allow me to use for safety reasons, but if I rent one there, then it's OK to use. They put a safety line in the... More

Really stunning beach, it's free so no need to pay entrance, only parking if you drive. They don't allow you to snorkel here, which is a bummer, but it's one of the one roped off beaches on the mainland Okinawa where it's roped off to pretty far. So you can actually swim 😊. And there are floaties you can jump... More

Sun, white beach, clear water are enough to spend some hours in this place. The place is free and there is a small cafeteria

Water was greenish and was a bit shallow, which was great for swimming with kids. We went there during the summer festival, so there were lots of food stalls right next to the beach. The lockers and showers are quite large. Parking in garage close to the beach costs money. Free parking is available farther away from the beach at the park entrance.

Emerald Beach is perfect for those who can't swim coz the water is calm and shallow. There is also lifeguard stand by. The cost to enter this beach is free, parking is also free, shower and other facilities are free as well. I enjoyed my time in Emerald beach!

Recommended to go by a colleague of mine who grew up in Okinawa. This is by far the best beach on the main island! The sand is a little course as you'd expect but it is white and the water is so clear! You can easily spend an afternoon here and kids will love collecting shells and rocks. It is... More
