Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our guide told us a lot of interesting information about Nozawa including the history and agriculture of the area. The monkey park was good also (path is slippery/muddy and the park is quite cold so be prepared)

The side trip to Shiba Onsen was at least as interesting, once again very insightful.

No-one from the tour lost and timings ran like clockwork.

Thank you so much for your review, Bazzoir. We are happy to hear that your tour went perfectly and hope that you found the historical and agricultural insights as interesting as we do! The path being slippery at times is a great thing to point out, and we have snow spikes for just that occasion. Please accept our apologies for the extremely late reply, we were having a few tech issues! Alfie

What a fabulous experience, well coordinated, well executed, informative and not rushed, generally felt excellent value for money and whilst there were many people seeing the monkeys I didn't get a sense that there was too much pressure on the animals - if anything the Japanese staff seemed fo quite protective of them, as indeed they should!

The tour was well planned, easy to find the vehicle and our guide was informative, entertaining and helpful, driver was also sound - cautious and considerate on the roads.

If you are looking for an experience seeing the snow monkeys and local onsens, then I have no hesitation in recommending this experience; thank you !

Really enjoyable and informative tour. Our guide Tome was great fun and took genuine pleasure in sharing his knowledge. The snow monkeys themselves are an absolute highlight and the visit to Shibu Onsen is an extra delight

I'm so glad I was able to share my excitement with everyone on the tour! It is always fun to be able to show off the monkeys, and a side of Japan that isn't always seen with Shibu Onsen! Kind Regards, Tome.

Arrived to see the monkeys being fed. Up close but they just went about their own business. So cool to see them bathing in the hot spring baths. Interesting to see the local onsen village too. Our driver was amazing and made it a really fun experience all round.

Thank you for joining us on our tour! How lucky that you also got to see the feeding of the monkeys, it does not happen very often that visitors get to experience that! We are delighted to hear you had a fun day altogether. Thank you, Reservation Team

This was one of the best parts of our trip! The walk to the snow monkeys was so serene. The monkeys had come out just a few days before we arrived and there were tons of them when we got there, so the timing was perfect. It was magical to see them playing in the water. We then walked back to some of the most amazing apple pie and apple ice cream. After that we took a walking tour through the onsen town. Because it was still fall, it stayed light out a bit later, and we got to experience it by both day and night. The temples were beautiful with the autumn foliage and the onsens lit up at night really took us back to an ancient time. We highly recommend this tour for everyone!

Hi Cory, Thank you for your amazing and detailed review! We are really glad to hear about everything that you enjoyed on the tour, even down to the walk up to the Monkey Park! Being able to see Shibu at twilight is an amazing experience that few ever get to have. Thank you, Reservations Team
