Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of my favourite place for melon. A place not to be missed. Still one of the best melon in Hokkaido. The cafe and bakery sells very good melon pastry ans the burger is good too.

Tables at the ice cream and melon cafetaria were not cleaned because it runs on the Japanese system that you clean your own tray, clear your own rubbish. Many chinese tourists are still unaware of this. So the eating tables will remain dirty for other patrons.

You can have a slice of the famous Japanese melon here and/or bring home a range of melon products. The melons are nicely packed in a box. You can sit and have a rest, a slice of melon or a drink after walking around Farm Tomito.

This place is a special shop selling fresh Yubari melons and all kinds of sweets made from it. Yubari melon is different from the common melons I know; it's not green and less watery. The color is orange, and it feels like eating a sweeter mango that tastes like melon. It is quite rare in Japan so my Japanese friends were excited to eat it in Hokkaido.

Some of my recommended menus:
1. A slice of melon for the beginners :)
2. Soft ice cream: mixed flavor (milk / melon), with small cuts of melon topping
3. Melon buns (Sweet bread with yubari melon taste)
4. Melon smoothie with ice cream topping and small cuts of melon

If you want the melon and the sweets but is on a budget, just buy number 2 or number 4 and you will get to taste multiple menus :)

You can eat in there or take home as souvenirs

Look out for coupons that can take off 100¥ from a slice of 300¥ melon. Extra juicy and delicious!
Also visit the pastry shop above and try their delicious melon bun. Delicious bread with lots of melon cream within! Yummy

It’s more a good stop than an attraction? You don’t get to learn a bit more about how they make their melons so sweet and juicy, and you don’t get to see the farm. But you get to enjoy a variety of rather pricey-ish melon related products that are very well made.

Good to stop by if you are heading to the lavender farm next door.

My daughter wanted to visit this place since she's a huge fan of melon soft serve ice-cream. I never imagined that cantaloupes and honeydews could be used to make so many different kinds of sweets. We probably tried 5 different melon sweets plus cut melons. I can safely proclaim that I am meloned out for the rest of this summer... Melons are SUPER SWEET!

This is the place to go to for all things melon-related. There are really juicy and sweet melons (both orange and green flesh), ice-cream and other sweet treats, and pastries like cake and biscuits that you can buy home. The melons are easily the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s a clean and comfortable place to sit at as well, if you choose to sample some. With Farm Tomita just across the road, it’s definitely worth making a stop here.
