I am surprised this site is not visited by more people. The color of the lake is just so beautiful. The lake has Aluminum from the volcano and with the sunlight it shows the blue green color.

The place is nice to visit and photographic However, if it's crowded, taking photos can be a little challenge. There are other small places around blue pond area that could drop by for a visit as well to make the trip worth it

Calm and beautiful scenic. Worth to drive. The pond is not small or large but each position around the pond gives different view.

went there around 10am in the morning, based on recommendation that after 10am would get very crowded. Anyway, plenty of people there, lots of tour buses, extremely touristy spot but the pond is still worth "that photo"

Water is blue and the reflections of the forest and tree stumps make a truly pretty picture. Easy walk from the car park to the pond . Attraction takes about 15-30 minutes. Visit the nearby waterfalls after this.

Most likely yes, Hokkaido is basically all white in winter. To be honest I have not been to the Blue Pond in winter, but what's the point to see a white pond when it's world famous for its blue and green colours?
