We took the 1-hour Walking course covering several islands in Lake Onuma. The trail is well marked out with 7 milestones. With the autumn color in full bloom, the scenery was beautiful and the walking course is relatively easy.

Went with tour group on a weekday morning. Quiet and pleasant walk with cool wind and fantastic weather. There’s a ice cream shop that sells Lavender soft ice cream only available in Hokkaido. Very mild taste of lavender but still good to eat!😊

We visited this beautiful National Park before left Hakodate 函館 and proceeded our 2016 Autumn leaf-viewing Trip. Ōnuma Quasi National Park 大沼国定公园happened to be one of the best serene and placid parks we’ve ever visited during the trip. See the pictures I’ve shown.
