The Falls are a picturesque site from the car park. We didn't make it up the trail as it was pouring rain !

Small but totally natural waterfall, with a nice walk to get there. Some lovely old trees on the way to the fall itself also.

With young kids, this place allow us all to hike for a very short distance and sightsee st the same time. Worth the time tbh coz the place is cool, though the path could be quite dangerous and slippery at times, especially after a shower!...More

Gin Ga No Taki Falls also known as 'Milky Way Waterfall' is situated at the Daisetsuzan National Park. The waterfalls run down gracefully like thin delicate white string.

What impressed me most about this water fall is the way it looks when the water falls. It does look like the galaxy (Ginga) silvery in colors.

During Snow festival, this waterfall turned ice...but still is beautiful. Tried free sampling tea from small shop there...it has quite a distinct taste and smell.

We rented a bike 'for free) at our hostel in Sounkyo and drove the bike for 2-3km to the falls. Easy trip and not much tourists to be seen.
