About 3 minutes long, this little ferry is a unique experience and serves as a shortcut across a body of water. Water is everywhere on Cape Breton Island, and our guide told us that a bridge in this particular location is impractical.

Yes I would recommend this short (less than 5 minutes) ferry ride to save 30 minutes of driving when heading to the Cabot Trail.
