This is one of the 5 lakes of mount fuji. I belive this to be second best after kawaguchiko. Dont miss out bus boat which starts on road but ends up in water. Children goes mad with this experience.

Excellent views of Mt. Fuji from almost any side of the lake. Great for pictures of the mountain reflecting on the lake. There are several parking areas around the lake, and some other to walk or jog.

After disappointing weather, it was at Lake Yamanaka, where we could finally see Mt. Fuji, on our way back to Gotemba from lake Kawaguchiko. We did not do the boating as the weather was bad.
