Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice piece of history to be found at the Zemen monastery, erected in xi century with paintings from xiv, some of which unique for the orthodox world. 70-80 km away from Sofia. Well organized under the National Historical Museum. Entry is just 5 leva, though there are combined options with the Boyana church etc. There is also a lunch option already - a traditional Bulgarian country-side restaurant. Generally worth visiting, though small and usually taking few minutes of observation.

A small monastery hidden from the great tourist traffic. Very peaceful place with an old historic church dating back to late 11th century.

Last days of sunny autumn and a quick daily tour took us to the great picturesque monastery. The church is 10 centuries old and it has history in its base. Good to visit during the week as no crowd at the area.

In the courtyard of the monastery there are places for seating and recreation. The church itself is old and can be found in the frescoes. The price for entry is 1 BGN.

The place is small, in the mountain nearby the village of Zemen, 75km away from Sofia, BG.
The church is very old, it would be interesting for the visitors to hear the guide and the stories, and very quiet monastery for relax and walk.
